What can I expect at The River?
At The River, you’ll be welcomed HOME into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. All you have to do from here is come as you are and find out more for yourself! The River at Smyrna is a church that focuses on the move of the Holy Spirit on every heart and life, regardless of how someone is dressed or how they appear. The majority of our members dress casually, but you will see anything from jeans and shirts to coat and tie.
What are Sundays like at The River?
In addition to our Anchored Kids, Little Rivers, and River Babies Nursery, adults and students meet in the sanctuary where we have a thriving worship and music ministry and dynamic bible teaching and preaching. Our attendees are free to worship in whatever manner is comfortable for them, this includes but is not limited to singing, clapping, lifitng of hands, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit through the gifts He imparts to those who follow Him
What do you have for my family?
– A place just for kids. Each week (Sundays and Tuesdays), River Babies Nursery (8 weeks-3 years), Little Rivers (K4-1st grade) and Anchored Kids Ministry (2nd-5th grade) learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him through age-specific lessons and trusted adult leadership. (All of our workers are background checked.)
– A place just for your teenager. River Students meets each Tuesday for students 6th through 12th grade. Loaded with worship and interactive learning and truth teaching, we address real issues teens face each day. WSM also offers regular extracurricular activites and ministry opportunities outside the four walls of the church.
